The MP series of pressure intensifiers from Scanwill Fluid Power impresses with a large range of pressure ratios, up to 16 : 1 and flow rates up to 80 l/min. Depending on the type maximum pressures from 500 to 2000 bar can be achieved.
The pressure intensifiers are reciprocating and automatically increase an existing pressure to a higher final pressure. The basic principle of the pressure intensifier consists of a piston and a Piston Control Valve (PCV). During each stroke a signal is output to the PCV so that the piston moves back in the opposite direction. This cycle is repeated until the final pressure has been reached. At this point the system stops and now only makes up any pressure loss. On the high pressure side all valves are integrated and therefore provide a low-cost solution for the generation of a high pressure. The compact design ensures easy installation in new or existing hydraulic systems
